Brenda Bergen
Brenda Joan (Nichols) Bergen, a certified Montessori teacher and director of a school in Connecticut, grew up with a love of children, art, and spirituality. A prolific painter, she enjoyed illustrating books and paintings, especially in watercolor. As the illustrator of The Journey of the Phoenix—which is a testament to her exquisite style—she often commented that the images were inspired (and approved of) by her young grandchildren.

Michael Schulbaum
Michael Schulbaum has been an artist ever since he can remember. He is passionate about creating music, paintings, drawings, and sculpture that aim to inspire, awaken, and uplift those who encounter it. After twelve years of teaching children art in the public school system of Indianapolis, the global pandemic of 2020 forced Michael to the realization that “Life is too short NOT to do what you feel you were born to do!” In 2021, Michael resigned from teaching and now lives and works as an artist and a musician, grateful for the gifts he’s been given.
